Kyma
- the Snack Bar
Pop in any time for
a snack, a drink and a friendly welcome.
|
|
 |
Kyma is open from early
morning to the early hours of the following morning. Visit any time
- during the hot days, the cool interior is well shaded - and the
fresh fruit juices are ideal thirst quenchers. Pavlos is very particular
about what he serves his customers - a lot of the produce comes from
his family farms. His Raki is pretty special too - again, he relies
on the family to ensure a good supply! |

This is
Pavlos, who opened Kyma in April 1987. He's always there to keep an
eye on things - but with satelite TV in the corner, this may well
be the football. Motor racing is also a favourite. However, the other
side of the bar is quiet, and another nice spot for an after dinner
drink.
Pavlos has an interesting menu - there is a good range of snacks and
quick meals - his burgers are excellent. It's also a great place for
breakfast. We always have a snack here before setting off on the trip
back home. There is also draught beer, and a good range of sweet things
- try the Baklava if you have a really sweet tooth - eastern style
pastries at their best!
A dedicated family man, Pavlos always welcomes children into the bar |

Appeal:
my Plakias spies tell me that Pavlos has developed a taste for beer mats,
and would like to expand his collection. So if you are on your way to
Plakias, pick up a few before your trip, and drop them in to him! Pass
on my regards!
